We’re pleased to confirm that ITV’s Tipping Point is the latest show to move to The Bottle Yard Studios.

ITV has today announced the commission of the hit quiz show for a further two years, with a total order of 354 episodes from producers Fizz, the entertainment arm of RDF.

To accommodate production of the super-sized order Fizz will film the new episodes here at The Bottle Yard Studios, with the production teams based out of RDF West’s Bristol offices.

The iconic Tipping Point machine is already being assembled in an 8,000 sq ft studio on site. Control rooms and all backstage elements of production will also be based here at The Bottle Yard.

Peter Usher, Executive Producer and Creative Director of RDF’s entertainment label Fizz, said:
“The Tipping Point team are thrilled to be undertaking this substantial order and committed to delivering a host of thrilling jackpot finales from our new home at The Bottle Yard Studios.”

Fiona Francombe, The Bottle Yard’s Site Director said: “We’re delighted to have Tipping Point here creating a new home at the Studios alongside The Crystal Maze. Welcoming a second major gameshow from Fizz and RDF is a fantastic reinforcement of our relationship and simply great news for Bristol.”

Hosted by Ben Shephard and currently in its 8th series, Tipping Point will return with 330 regular episodes and 24 of its prime-time variation Tipping Point Lucky Stars – across 2018 and 2019. This will be the 5th series of Lucky Stars, which has to date welcomed over 100 celebrities and raised nearly half a million pounds for charity.

A game of knowledge, skill and tactics, Tipping Point is centered around an extraordinary machine filled with counters worth thousands of pounds. The series continues to dominate its weekday 4pm slot, frequently attracting up to 3m viewers and well over 25% shares. The current run has peaked at just over 2.9 million viewers with a 32% share.

Tipping Point is commissioned for ITV by joint Heads of Daytime Jane Beacon and Clare Ely. It is a Banijay Group format produced by Fizz, part of RDF Television. The Series Editor is Kate Lownds. The Executive Producers are Sara Doyle, Peter Usher and Hugh Rycroft.
