The new stills feature Stephen Moyer (True Blood) as Jolyon Forsyte Sr., Jack Davenport (The Morning Show) as James Forsyte, Danny Griffin (Fate: The Winx Saga) as Jolyon Forsyte Jr., Tuppence Middleton (Downton Abbey: A New Era) as Frances Forsyte and Eleanor Tomlinson (One Day) as Louisa Byrne. Also revealed are Millie Gibson (Doctor Who) as Irene Heron and Joshua Orpin (Titans) as Soames Forsyte.

Set in late 19th-century London, The Forsytes explores the intertwined lives of an influential upper-class family, charting their romances, rivalries and ambitions. Desire, ambition and betrayal form the backdrop of this reimagining, which serves as a prequel to John Galsworthy’s The Forsyte Saga.
The new adaptation shifts the focus towards romance while revisiting the world of the Forsytes before the events depicted in the classic novels.
The Forsytes is scheduled to debut on Channel 5 in the autumn.
