Emmy award-winning Enid Blyton adaptation Malory Towers returns to CBBC on Monday 9th June for a sixth series, after filming at The Bottle Yard Studios and on location around Devon and Cornwall last year.
The new series follows international recognition for the show in March at the Children & Family Emmy® Awards, when Amanda Lawrence took home the award for Outstanding Supporting Performer in a Preschool, Children’s or Young Teen Program for her portrayal of Matron Shipley.

Studio filming for the new 10 x 25-minute series took place at The Bottle Yard Studios, where a total of 11 sets were built for boarding school settings including dormitory, classrooms and common areas.
King Bert Productions moved studio production to The Bottle Yard in 2023 for the making of the long-running drama’s fifth series, gaining more convenient access to the show’s regular Devon and Cornwall locations including Hartland Abbey near Bideford, which is used for the school’s exterior.
In the new series, Darrell and the older girls return for their final year at Malory Towers and start to think about life when they finish school, but it doesn’t stop the usual fun, adventures and feasts! The third form’s adventurous antics continue when they learn of a Time Capsule buried by former students. They also welcome two new classmates: Celeste, who arrives from France and is caught in a complicated family situation, and Nancy, who comes to Malory Towers with Matron!
Malory Towers is produced by King Bert Productions (Gangsta Granny Strikes Again!, After Ever After), commissioned for BBC Children’s and produced in association with BYUtv and WildBrain, who are also global distributor for the series. It is adapted for television by Rachel Flowerday and Sasha Hails, and produced by David Collier, and executive produced by Jo Sargent and Yvonne Sellins for King Bert Productions. It is directed by Bruce McDonald and Jack Jameson.
Malory Towers Series 6 begins on CBBC and iPlayer on Monday 9th June 2025 at 6pm. Series 1 – 5 are also available on BBC iPlayer.
