A brand new series of Malory Towers has launched on CBBC this week (20th October 2025), marking the seventh and final season of the beloved Enid Blyton adaptation.

The final 10 x 25-minute series was filmed at The Bottle Yard Studios and on location around Devon and Cornwall last Summer.

Malory Towers began in 2020 with an original cast including Ella Bright as Darrell Rivers, Danya Griver as Gwendoline Mary Lacey, and Sienna Arif-Knights as Sally Hope. Since 2023, studio production has taken place at The Bottle Yard on 11 boarding school sets, including dormitory, classrooms and common areas.

The series found international recognition in March at the Children & Family Emmy® Awards, when Amanda Lawrence took home the award for Outstanding Supporting Performer in a Preschool, Children’s or Young Teen Program for her portrayal of Matron Shipley.

The final series follows Darrell Rivers and her sixth-form friends as they complete their final year at Malory Towers. It also sees the return of two characters who joined the school in Series 6; glamourous ex-Hollywood actress Lily Vernon played by Jodie Steele, and passionate history enthusiast and formidable lacrosse goalie Nancy, played by Ellie Goldstein.

A trailblazing model and advocate for disability, Ellie uses her platform to act as a role model to other people with Down Syndrome; she can also currently be seen on primetime TV as a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing 2025!

Malory Towers is produced by King Bert Productions (Gangsta Granny Strikes Again!, After Ever After), commissioned for BBC Children’s and produced in association with BYUtv and WildBrain, who are also global distributor for the series. It is adapted for television by Rachel Flowerday and Sasha Hails, and produced by David Collier, and executive produced by Jo Sargent and Yvonne Sellins for King Bert Productions. It is directed by Bruce McDonald and Jack Jameson.

New episodes of Malory Towers air on Mondays and Tuesdays at 6pm on the CBBC channel and are available to stream on BBC iPlayer. Series 1 – 6 are also available now on BBC iPlayer.
