We’re excited to share that our Business & Operations Manager and Sustainability Lead Katherine Nash will be part of the ‘Are You Sustainable’ panel at the Creative Cities Convention in Bristol next month (23-24 April), talking about how, as a studio, we strive to reduce our carbon footprint and support the productions filming with us to do the same.

Other leading voices on the panel will include Emily Dalton, MD of Factual Fiction, Phil Holdgate, ITV Studios’ Head of Production Sustainability and Lisa Howe, Project Manager, Sustainable Screen (Film) at BAFTA albert.

The Creative Cities Convention is the leading annual meeting place for film, TV and digital content creators working outside London, bringing together the UK creative sector for two days of discussions, masterclasses and networking. Every year the convention travels to a different city and this year the host city is Bristol UNESCO City of Film, with the venue the newly refurbished Bristol Beacon. Dates are April 23rd and 24th and the conference is hosted by Newsnight presenter Kirsty Wark with co-hosts Qasá Alom and Stacey Olika.

This year’s theme, New Age, New Frontiers, reflects the profound impact of artificial intelligence and creative technologies on the industry, coupled with insights on how to expand business in international markets.

Session topics will span critical industry issues such as making production more sustainable and addressing the freelance crisis. Some of the top shows made outside London across both scripted and unscripted genres will feature with a spotlight on the increasing levels of major high-end TV drama being produced in Bristol.

The Creative Cities Convention is supported by key stakeholders including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5/Paramount and Pact. This year’s edition is hosted in collaboration with the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority, and the West of England’s £30 million MyWorld research project is also partnering.
